Planning a wedding can be like riding a roller coaster. It's exciting, suspenseful, and scary all at the same. When the wedding day is over, hopefully it will have you saying "What a ride!" Here are some tips to help you make your wedding day successful and enjoy it.
Bridal Party
Your bridal party can have a huge influence on the rest of your wedding guests. In many cases, this group is filled with your parents, closest friends, and siblings. Make sure they understand how important they are on your wedding day. Most of your guests will do what the bridal party does. If they are on the dance floor for most of the reception, so will your other guests be. Encourage them to take the lead in starting the party and keeping it going.
Expect A Great Day
There is power in your anticipation. Take out some time the week leading up to your wedding to picture all of the wonderful plans you have for your wedding day. Think through the sequence of events that will take place that day. Be positive. Be excited! Your wonderful attitude will spread to your family, bridal party, vendors, and best of all, the one you are marrying!
What Does All of This Cost?
Some people choose to set their wedding costs on the averages they read in a magazine or on a website. Keep in mind that when you were in school, the average grade was a "C." Even if that magazine or website tells you that you can get a wedding cake that costs $150, you will be VERY disappointed when you can't find one you like for that price. Get the BEST quality you can afford.
Know Who You've Hired and Trust Them
Once you set your date, you spent months researching vendors to make your final selections. More than likely, they have dealt with variety of clients and venues. They know how to handle everything for you. You hired them because you believed in their skill set, correct? In that case, rely on them to help you. After not only are they looking out for you, but they are probably trying to protect the same reputation that caused you to hire them.
