After you submit an inquiry, we email you a quote for your event. We also get in touch to answer your questions and learn more about the celebration you are planning.

Seeing the band
Can I see The Company Band live?
You can watch our performance videos, listen to music samples, and read client reviews. Ask us about opportunities to see the band in person; private events require consideration for the hosts and their guests.
Band options
What band sizes do you offer?
We offer ceremony ensembles, a jazz duo or trio for cocktail hour, and a 6- to 12-piece band for receptions and corporate events. Our nine-piece band is our most popular option.
Planning
What happens after I sign an agreement?
You receive an executed copy of the agreement, an event-planning questionnaire, our song list to review, and access to your custom planning page.

How long has The Company Band been performing?
The Company Band has been in business since 2005 and has performed at more than 700 events. Creative Director Hanoch Hickman has performed professionally since 1996 and has worked on more than 1,500 events.

What kinds of music does the band play?
Our repertoire spans the 1950s through the 1990s and includes acoustic music, big band, blues, classic rock, classical, country, dance, funk, gospel, hip-hop, jazz, Motown, oldies, orchestra, pop, R&B, reggae, rock, second line, soul, and swing. Explore the song list for examples.

Can you learn songs for special dances?
Yes. We typically learn up to three songs for special dances at no additional charge, even if we are unlikely to play those requests again. Tell us which songs matter most to you.
Production
Do you bring your own sound system?
Yes. We provide the sound system for our events and set it up and test it before the performance. Our current planning guidance calls for sound checks roughly two hours before the event begins.
Event flow
Can the band handle announcements and introductions?
Yes. We can emcee the event and coordinate announcements with you and your planner, including the pronunciation of names. We also work with photographers, the venue, and caterers on the event flow.

Event details
Does the band carry liability insurance?
Yes. Our current FAQ lists a $3 million liability policy for each event. That coverage relates to the band and performance area. We encourage clients to discuss separate one-day event coverage for their own event.

What does the band wear?
We usually wear black tie or dress to suit the event theme. Tell us your preference when we plan the performance.
Production
How much time does setup take?
Setup itself typically takes about one hour. We ask for access to the venue three hours before the performance so we can test sound, lighting, and electrical needs before guests arrive.

How much performance space do you need?
We request a stage or performance area of about 20 by 12 feet. We have performed in smaller spaces; share your room dimensions early so we can discuss the layout.

Do you bring a sign or banner?
No. We keep the performance area focused on you and your guests and aim for a stage presentation that suits the look of your event.
